Charley Boorman Show

Postby Mark » Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:42 pm

We went to the Charley Boorman Show at the Parr Hall in Warrington last night. A great show which gave a good insight into the behind the scenes stuff and included bits that didn't make it to the telly shows.

Simon Pavey (Enduro and Dakar rally legend) was there too. Great to hear from him and to hear what he had to say about the team as they did their training! Apparently Ewan McGregor was "quite literally the fall guy" during the first training session for Long Way Round

Anyway, a few pictures... not the best quality due to the lighting but you'll get the idea

Great pics Mark. I remember seeing tickets for this but at the time I was skint :?

I take it was a good night then.

I take it you bought her the birthday present ;)

And I know what you mean, I watched Charley Boormans Race to Dakar DVD again only a few weeks ago and it made me want to get out there. However my Serrow is currently missing an ignition :?

Simon Pavey is just awesome!!!

I went to the Manchester version of this on Saturday evening , not quite the blockbuster that it was billed as but well worth the ticket price an very funny in places . The bit that made me laugh the most was when CB was recounting his trips to the loo in some outback bush location and basically the loo was just a hole dug in the ground that others had used before , he was recounting the precise method of pulling the biking jeans down to his knees when he heard a PLOP ! He thought this was funny because he had not started yet --- only later did he descover his mobile phone was missing

Appealed to my sense of humour that did .

It would be more of a case what you do after you've retrieved it. I can't imagine there being a lovely sink with scented handwash
